As a registered student at Missouri State University – West Plains, you have access to a number of academic resources:
When you register for classes, a campus e-mail account will be created for you. This e-mail address will be used for all official correspondence from your instructors and the University.
Use the Grizzly Den to change your personal information, register for classes, view your grades, and review your academic progress.
Use Blackboard to retrieve and post course assignments, communicate with your instructor and classmates, and participate in instructor-moderated discussions.
As a registered student, you can purchase a variety of computers and other items at a discount, or one of the campus standard computer models.
You can use the dial-up service provided by Missouri State University – West Plains to gain access to the Internet. While there is no charge for this service, you must be within a local calling area (417) to avoid substantial long distance charges.
Medical Services are available for online students for those taking six or more hours online only - Students taking only on-line courses are not automatically charged the Health Services fee, but may choose to pay the fee (if enrolled in six or more hours) and receive the services provided by the Student Health Services program. Students who elect to pay the fee should notify the Office of Registration and Records.
Activity Fee – Online students may voluntarily elect to pay the Student Activity Fee which allows them to utilize the Fitness and Aquatic Center at West Plains Civic Center and attend University Community Program Theatre Events free or at a reduced cost. Students who elect to pay the fee should notify the Office of Registration and Records.
